The deadline for submission of papers for Idec3 has passed, but the event is open for participation. Details can be found on the conference web site (See "Workshops / Workshop 10: Idec3").

SHORT PAPERS / POSTERS

Short papers / posters may address any of the areas identified in the conference topics. Authors are encouraged to demonstrate work in progress and late-breaking research results that show the latest innovative ideas. We invite presentation of ongoing work and preliminary results, by experienced academics as well as young researchers. Short papers may be up to 4 pages. See conference website for details.

Submission deadline: July 10.

INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE REPORTS

NordiCHI is a meeting place for academia and industry. The conference introduces a new submission category "Industrial experience reports" to enable HCI practitioners to report best practices. We encourage submissions that report from ongoing or recent software projects concerning all aspects of the human-computer interaction. This submission category permits practitioners to present work without having to comply with the academic requirements of the main conference such as comprehensive references to previous work, research question etc. The contributions will be evaluated mainly for their practical value to fellow practitioners and for their value as case studies. Industrial experience reports may be up to 2 pages. See the conference website for details.

Submission deadline: July 10.

AESTHETIC ARTEFACTS

NordiCHI 2006 encourages the submission of "aesthetic artefacts" and follows the trend that was started at NordiCHI 2002. The submission category promotes experiments into how artistic expression and praxis affect perspectives on interfaces, contexts and design. Examples of possible artefacts include (but are not limited to): interactive artworks, computer games, interactive installations, net art, software art, artistic interfaces, aesthetic experiments with HCI-related issues. Accepted aesthetic artefacts will be exhibited at the conference in conjunction with the interactive event session. See the conference website for details.

Submission deadline: July 10.

INTERACTIVE EVENTS/DEMOS

Interactive events/demos give participants the possibility of showing and viewing new, interesting, and novel ideas in human-computer interaction concepts and technology. See the conference website for details.

Submission deadline: July 10.

We hope to see you in Oslo in October.
