AESTHETIC ARTEFACTS

NordiCHI 2006 encourages the submission of "aesthetic artefacts" and follows

the trend that was started at NordiCHI 2002. The submission category promotes

experiments into how artistic expression and praxis affect perspectives on

interfaces, contexts and design.

Examples of possible artefacts include (but are not limited to):

interactive artworks, computer games, interactive installations, net art,

software art, artistic interfaces, aesthetic experiments with HCI-related

issues. Accepted aesthetic artefacts will be exhibited at the conference in

conjunction with the interactive event session. See the conference website for

details.

NordiCHI 2006, the fourth Nordic HCI conference, will take place in Oslo

between October 14 and 18.

1st International Conference on Digital Interactive Media Entertainment & Arts

Deadline for DIME RESEARCH ART Submision is extended to 15th JULY 2006.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT

Submission: an exhibition submission consists of three required components:

A minimum two page paper that describes the project (artistic motivation, description, technical details, etc.)

A project information sheet that describes installation requirements

Supporting materials (photos, videos, URL, or CDs/DVDs only if on-line submission is not possible)

The supporting materials will also be reviewed by the International Art Program Committee to evaluate artistic merit.
